Bauchi Governor Mohammed signals PDP exit, eyes ADC

Governor Bala Mohammed has hinted at leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), citing internal crisis within the party.

He described the PDP as disorganized and said efforts to restore unity have not been successful.

Speaking after meeting with leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the governor said the party looks like a better platform for the future.

Mohammed also criticised Nyesom Wike, accusing him of influencing the party’s internal structure.

According to him, consultations are ongoing, and a final decision will be made after discussions with key stakeholders.

ADC leaders, including Babachir Lawal, said they are working to unite opposition forces ahead of the 2027 elections.
