Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has reacted to the defection of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the African Democratic Congress.
Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, officially joined the ADC on Monday, attracting attention from political stakeholders.
Prominent figures such as Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi were also present to witness the development.
Atiku described the alliance of opposition leaders as a strong force, suggesting that it could influence the political balance ahead of the 2027 elections.
He expressed optimism, noting that when like-minded individuals come together, it signals a shift in political power.
The move is seen as part of ongoing realignments within Nigeria’s political landscape as parties prepare for future elections.
