The Ward Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in Ketawa Ward, Gezawa Local Government Area, Isyaku Ali Danja, has resigned from the party with immediate effect.

In a letter dated March 29, 2026, Danja said his decision came after careful thought and personal reflection.

He expressed appreciation to the party for giving him the opportunity to serve and grow during his time as a member.

Danja also acknowledged the relationships and experiences he gained while holding his position in the ward.

Although he did not state his next political move, his resignation adds to the recent wave of political changes in Kano State.
