A wedding celebration in Kahir village, Kagarko Local Government Area, turned tragic after suspected bandits launched a deadly attack.

The gunmen reportedly invaded the venue late at night, opening fire on guests and causing chaos among those present.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers operated for nearly an hour, leaving at least 13 people dead and several others injured.

Some victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while others with serious injuries were moved to facilities in Kaduna.

Residents also reported that several guests were abducted, although authorities are still working to confirm the exact number.

Security officials have acknowledged the incident and say investigations are ongoing to track down those responsible.
