Troops of Operation HADIN KAI successfully stopped an attack by ISWAP on a military base in Borno State.

The attempted assault targeted FOB Mandaragirau in the early hours of March 28, 2026.

Soldiers responded quickly with coordinated ambush tactics, forcing the attackers to retreat.

During the operation, about 38 terrorists were neutralized, with several weapons recovered.

The military confirmed that no soldiers were killed, though a vehicle was hit and some personnel sustained injuries.

Authorities say follow-up operations are ongoing to secure the area and prevent further threats.
