The Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has barred a member of the House of Representatives, Lukman Mudashiru, from entering his palace in Iwo.
The monarch said the decision was due to alleged neglect of traditional institutions by the lawmaker.
He expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of engagement with the palace and the community.
According to the Oluwo, elected officials in the district are expected to show respect and maintain communication with traditional leaders.
Mudashiru, however, described the issue as a personal matter that can still be resolved peacefully.
The development has drawn attention to the relationship between political leaders and traditional authorities in the region.
