Governors from Nigeria’s North-West region have agreed on a joint plan to tackle insecurity and boost development.
The initiative, known as the North-West Peace, Security and Development Framework (2026–2030), was adopted during a meeting in Abuja.
The forum chairman, Dikko Umaru Radda, stressed the need for unity among states to address common challenges.
He explained that the framework provides a clear roadmap to improve safety, economic growth, and social well-being in the region.
The governors also discussed strengthening their secretariat to ensure proper coordination and implementation of plans.
They further encouraged states to adopt policies supporting displaced persons and improve data systems for better decision-making.
