APP sues APC candidate, Oyebamiji over alleged credential discrepancies

The Action Peoples Party has filed a lawsuit against Bola Oyebamiji over alleged issues with his documents.

The case was submitted at the Federal High Court in Osogbo, with Independent National Electoral Commission and the All Progressives Congress listed as defendants.

APP is asking the court to determine whether the candidate meets constitutional requirements to contest the election.

The party also wants Oyebamiji’s name removed from the list of candidates for the upcoming governorship poll.

However, the APC has rejected the claims, describing the suit as politically motivated and without merit.

Party officials insist that their candidate is fully qualified and will participate in the election as planned.
