The Nasarawa State government has denied reports that Governor Abdullahi Sule held a secret meeting with Atiku Abubakar in Mecca.

The claim suggested that both politicians met during a religious trip and discussed plans ahead of the 2027 elections.

However, the governor’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Addra, described the report as false and misleading.

According to him, the governor did not meet Atiku or any of his associates during the trip to Saudi Arabia.

The government also reaffirmed Sule’s support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting his consistent loyalty to the administration.

It added that the rumour was an attempt to create political tension, insisting that such claims would not affect the governor’s position.
