Iran Military Says it Fired Missiles At US Aircraft Carrier

Iran’s military has claimed it launched cruise missiles targeting the USS Abraham Lincoln, signaling a sharp escalation in tensions between Tehran and Washington. The statement was broadcast on Iranian state television.

According to Iranian officials, the missiles forced the U.S. carrier strike group to adjust its position at sea. They said the action was part of ongoing efforts to monitor and respond to foreign naval presence in the region.

The Iranian Navy explained that its shore-based Qader missile system was used in the operation. Authorities warned that any further approach by U.S. naval forces could trigger additional strikes.

Navy Chief Shahram Irani stated that the carrier group is under constant surveillance, stressing that Iran is ready to act if its security is threatened.

The development highlights growing military tension in the Middle East, especially amid ongoing disagreements between Iran and the United States over regional security and influence.

While Iran maintains a firm stance, the situation continues to draw global attention, with concerns rising over the risk of further escalation and its impact on international stability.
