Salah eclipses Ronaldo’s Premier League legacy – Carragher declares

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has said Mohamed Salah has surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo’s Premier League legacy. Carragher made the statement after Salah confirmed he would leave Liverpool FC at season’s end.

He argued that among all overseas attackers in England, only Thierry Henry ranks higher than Salah, dismissing comparisons with Ronaldo, Eden Hazard, Gianfranco Zola, Dennis Bergkamp, and Eric Cantona.

Carragher highlighted that Ronaldo’s time at Manchester United was split by his peak years at Real Madrid, giving Salah an edge when assessing Premier League impact alone.

Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017 for £34m, Salah has scored 189 goals and provided 92 assists, the highest in the league over that period.

Carragher praised Salah’s consistency and influence, describing him as one of the most dominant foreign players in Premier League history.

Fans and analysts continue to debate where Salah ranks among the greatest overseas attackers, but Carragher insists his sustained performance sets him apart.
