Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, arrived at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday for his money laundering trial.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) had announced his arraignment earlier.

El-Rufai is being charged under suit number FHC/KD/73/2026 with counts including conversion and possession of public property.

Additional charges include money laundering, abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage.

The arraignment marks the start of legal proceedings in the high-profile corruption case against the former governor.

Authorities say the trial will thoroughly examine the allegations and ensure due process is followed.
