Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has not selected any governorship candidate for Oyo State ahead of 2027.

He made this clarification following rumours that the party had already picked candidates in states like Oyo, Lagos, and Ogun.

Adelabu, who is also an aspirant, insisted that no official decision has been made regarding the party’s ticket.

Speaking through his aide, Bolaji Tunji, he described the claims as mere political speculation common during election periods.

He added that many individuals often spread such stories to gain attention and influence public perception.

Adelabu maintained that the APC process remains structured and orderly, and the right procedures will be followed before any candidate emerges.
