A new political dispute has surfaced in Osun State ahead of the 2026 governorship election. Rival groups are clashing over claims of support from Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Supporters of Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji have denied any alliance between the President and Ademola Adeleke. They described such reports as false and misleading.
The AMBO Media Fronts insisted that the President would not back the re-election of Adeleke. They also highlighted Oyebamiji’s experience, especially his role at the National Inland Waterways Authority.
On the other hand, the Accord Media Centre defended Adeleke, claiming he enjoys strong grassroots support. They argued that the governor remains popular among workers, students, and local communities.
The group also criticised Adegboyega Oyetola and Oyebamiji, accusing them of actions that could divide the All Progressives Congress. According to them, internal issues within the party have caused dissatisfaction.
As the election approaches, both sides continue to push their narratives. Political observers believe the growing tension may shape the outcome of the August 2026 governorship race.
