Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Monday hosted top members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Asaba, the Delta State capital. The gathering drew attention as political activities ahead of 2027 continue to build momentum.

Among those present were Hope Uzodimma and Mai Mala Buni, alongside former Delta State governor Ifeanyi Okowa. Their presence highlighted the importance of the event.

The leaders were in Delta for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors South-South Zonal Summit, a political gathering aimed at strengthening support structures within the region.

During the summit, Okowa, who serves as the South-South Coordinator of the group, called on stakeholders to rally behind Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The event also had in attendance the Deputy Governor, lawmakers, and other political figures, showing a wide level of participation across different levels of government.

The meeting is seen as part of broader efforts by political actors to build alliances and consolidate support as preparations for the next election cycle gradually intensify.
