A Florida man, nicknamed Palm Beach Pete, went viral after being spotted driving on I-95 and noted for his uncanny resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein. Social media users flooded the post with comparisons.
Pete quickly created social media accounts under the handle “Not Epstein” to clarify he is not the deceased financier. He introduced himself and explained the situation to his growing online audience.
“I’m not Jeffrey Epstein. I’m Palm Beach Pete,” he said, admitting that he had attended a few parties where Epstein was present but never personally interacted with him.
Pete described Epstein as “creepy” and mysterious, noting that people did not really know his background or how he made his money. He stressed he had no direct connection to Epstein’s criminal activities.
Despite the sudden fame, Pete emphasized he is a retired commercial real estate worker, enjoys tennis, and lives a normal, social life in South Florida.
He concluded, “This guy is dead, and he was a really bad person. I didn’t do anything wrong. I just happen to look like him,” reassuring the public of his innocence.
