Donald Trump has publicly told Benjamin Netanyahu that Israel should not carry out any more strikes on Iranian gas fields, especially the major South Pars energy site. 

The warning came after an Israeli strike on the South Pars gas field triggered heavy retaliation from Iran and damage to energy infrastructure in the Gulf region. 

Trump said the United States advised against repeating attacks on Iranian energy facilities, with a focus on avoiding further escalation. 

He stressed that striking vital energy assets could worsen instability and disrupt global fuel supplies at a time of already high prices. 

Despite Trump’s statement, reports show Israel continued some strikes on Iran shortly afterward, deepening regional tensions. 

The move highlights a rare public split between the United States and Israel over how to conduct military actions in the Iran conflict.
