President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent visit to the United Kingdom has triggered widespread reactions from political figures and analysts.
The trip, which included a meeting with King Charles III, came at a time when insecurity concerns were rising in parts of Nigeria.
Critics such as Bolaji Abdullahi argued that key officials responsible for national security should not be outside the country during a crisis.
Others, including Mukhtar Adnan, described the visit as lacking empathy, suggesting that the situation required urgent local attention.
However, security analyst Adamu Bokaji noted that while leadership presence matters, strong institutions and effective strategies are more important in tackling insecurity.
The Presidency has defended the trip, stating that efforts to address security challenges continue, while urging Nigerians to remain calm and vigilant.
