A Nigerian woman, Chioma Onwuesi, has recounted a startling past relationship experience, revealing she unknowingly accompanied her then-boyfriend to purchase drinks for his wedding—just a day before he married another woman.

In a Facebook post shared on Tuesday, March 17, Onwuesi disclosed that the incident occurred several years ago, noting that she has since moved on with her life.

The post, which featured a throwback photo, detailed how she had joined her former partner on what she believed was a routine outing to a mall, only to later discover its true purpose.

According to her account, she personally selected most of the drinks purchased during the trip. She said her ex-boyfriend broke the news to her afterward, informing her that he was set to marry the following day.

Onwuesi further alleged that the man, who hails from Anambra State, cited family pressure as the reason for his decision, claiming his mother had insisted he could not marry a woman from Imo State.

Recounting the moment, she said she initially thought he was joking, given the level of commitment she had invested in the relationship.

However, she said he went on to call his fiancée in her presence and placed the conversation on speaker, confirming the situation.

Reflecting on the experience, Onwuesi stated that she has since moved past the incident, adding that she decided to share the story after coming across the old photo while scrolling through her phone.
