Sevilla striker Akor Adams expressed disappointment that Nigeria could not win the last Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. He played a pivotal role for the Super Eagles, scoring two goals and providing two assists in seven matches.
Adams helped Nigeria secure the bronze medal after defeating Egypt on penalties in the third-place playoff. He said representing his country at AFCON was a privilege and a key milestone in his career.
“I had good confidence, but playing in the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria was an incredible experience,” Adams told Marca. He added that although winning would have been ideal, the tournament was important for his growth as a player.
The striker hopes to build on his AFCON performance and continue contributing to Nigeria’s national team in upcoming competitions.
