U.S. President Donald Trump has predicted that the Iranian government may eventually collapse, though he admitted it might not happen immediately. Speaking during an interview on Fox News Radio, Trump said the situation in Iran has become increasingly difficult for its leadership following recent military developments.
His comments came after the United States and Israel launched a series of military strikes against Iran. The attacks reportedly began on February 28 and targeted several strategic locations across the country, intensifying tensions in the region.
U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth also stated that the latest round of strikes represents the largest wave of aerial operations carried out over Iran since the conflict began. According to him, more than 15,000 targets have been hit during the joint U.S.–Israel campaign.
The war has already begun affecting the global economy, with oil prices rising close to $100 per barrel. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has also pushed up fuel prices, creating further concerns for global energy markets.
