War: I lost my father, wife, must revenge – Iran’s new Supreme Leader vows

Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed revenge after revealing that he lost close family members during recent airstrikes linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. According to reports, the strikes killed his father, former leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as his wife and other relatives.

In a message released through Iranian state media, the new leader said the attacks have made the war personal for him. He stressed that those responsible would face consequences and that Iran would not forget the losses suffered by its people.

Khamenei became Iran’s supreme leader after clerics selected him to succeed his father, whose death came during the early stages of the current conflict. His appointment signals a more confrontational stance toward the United States and Israel amid rising regional tensions.

Analysts say the heavy personal losses may shape his leadership style, with many expecting a stronger push for retaliation and a harder position in the ongoing war. The situation has increased fears that the conflict could escalate further in the region.
