Thierry Henry has responded to criticism about Arsenal being “boring” to watch under manager Mikel Arteta. The club legend said people may not enjoy the style of play, but the team deserves respect for consistently getting results and staying competitive at the top of the league.
Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry explained that football teams can control matches in different ways. According to him, Arsenal’s approach focuses on discipline and effectiveness rather than flashy play.
Henry also referenced the team’s performance against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, admitting Arsenal were not at their best. However, he praised the team for still managing to secure a draw, noting that strong teams find results even on difficult nights.
The former striker added that success is the most important factor in football. With Arsenal leading the title race ahead of Manchester City, Henry believes the results justify Arteta’s methods.
