Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has urged the 17 newly sworn-in permanent secretaries to always prioritize the state’s interest in their official duties. He emphasized that public service requires dedication, transparency, and commitment to the welfare of the people.
Makinde described their appointments as a call to higher service, stressing that their performance will reflect on the efficiency and credibility of the state government. He reminded them to avoid personal gains influencing their decisions.
The governor encouraged the officials to implement policies diligently and uphold professionalism in every aspect of their responsibilities. He noted that merit, integrity, and accountability must guide their work in all government sectors.
Makinde concluded by warning against complacency, urging the permanent secretaries to be proactive in delivering results and ensuring that Oyo State remains a model of effective governance in Nigeria.
