Oyo: Gov Makinde swears in 17 new permanent secretaries

Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State, has sworn in 17 newly appointed permanent secretaries to strengthen the state’s public service system. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday and was announced through the governor’s official social media platform.

Speaking during the event, Makinde said the appointments were based on merit and professionalism. He explained that the state government has built a transparent process to ensure that only qualified individuals are selected for key administrative roles.

The governor described the new positions as a call to greater responsibility and service to the people. He urged the permanent secretaries to maintain integrity, discipline and dedication while performing their duties in government offices.

Makinde also warned the officials not to allow personal interests to interfere with their work. According to him, their role is important in ensuring effective governance and delivering quality public service to residents of the state.
