The Lagos State Police Command has arrested more suspects linked to the killing of Prince Ademola Akinloye. The prince, who is the son of Oba Tijani Akinloye, was reportedly attacked and shot by gunmen in Lagos.
The incident happened on August 26, 2024, along Chevron Drive near Ebeano Supermarket in the Agungi area. Police earlier arrested nine suspects after investigations connected them to the deadly attack.
The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, confirmed that additional suspects have now been taken into custody. According to him, some of those arrested have given confessional statements explaining their roles in the crime.
Police also said they are still searching for the main suspect, Ahmad Akanbi. Authorities assured the public that the investigation will continue until everyone involved in the killing is brought to justice.
