Fikayo Tomori has apologized to John Terry after placing him 10th in a blind ranking of the greatest centre-backs. The exercise was part of a football challenge organized by SPORTBible.
During the challenge, Tomori was given the names of defenders one by one and had to rank them without knowing who would appear next. When Terry’s name appeared, only the first and tenth positions were still available.
The defender admitted he felt uncomfortable placing the former Chelsea FC captain in the last spot and immediately apologized during the interview. He explained that the ranking happened because he did not know the remaining names.
Tomori later said that if he had the chance to redo the list, he would move Terry up to third place. In his ranking, Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta were placed first and second.
