Enyimba drops into relegation zone after 2-1 loss to Warri Wolves

Enyimba International Football Club has slid into the relegation zone of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) after a 2-1 loss to Warri Wolves on Sunday. The former African champions now occupy 17th place with 33 points, following eight wins, nine draws, and twelve defeats this season.

The Peoples Elephant has undergone multiple coaching changes, but the team is still struggling to regain its past dominant form. Fans have expressed concern over the club’s poor performance and are urging players and staff to fight to maintain NPFL status.

Supporters lamented the drop, with Victor Azumara stating, “Our dear Enyimba is now in the relegation zone. How are the mighty fallen?” Another fan, Patrick Talabi, added, “Na wao, we are now fighting relegation.”

Meanwhile, Abia Warriors lifted fans’ spirits with a 2-0 victory over Shooting Stars, courtesy of two goals from Obioma Chukwuemeka. The win took Abia Warriors to fourth place with 46 points after 29 games, offering a bright spot for Abia football enthusiasts.
