Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele stated that the All Progressives Congress aims to secure at least 10 million votes from the South-West for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
Bamidele made the announcement during the inauguration of the 57-member governorship campaign council supporting Biodun Oyebanji in Ado Ekiti.
He said the party plans to reach this target through extensive voter mobilisation and encouraging residents to participate in Continuous Voter Registration and collect Permanent Voter Cards.
The Senate leader also described the June 20 Ekiti governorship election as a referendum on Oyebanji’s leadership, predicting a smooth win for APC and calling on party members to intensify mobilisation efforts.
