Al-Jazeera anchor Mehdi Hassan released videos of presidential aide Daniel Bwala making statements critical of Bola Ahmed Tinubu that he had previously denied. The clips were aired during Hassan’s Head to Head show, sparking discussions across Nigeria on March 6.
During the show, Hassan confronted Bwala about past remarks alleging Tinubu created a militia that attacked opposition members. Bwala denied the claims, insisting he never said such things.
Hassan also highlighted instances where Bwala said he could not eat after Tinubu allegedly “fraudulently” won the 2023 elections. Again, Bwala responded in shock, denying the statements and asking, “Where?”
The final video footage confirmed Bwala had indeed made the statements against Tinubu, contradicting his repeated denials and raising further questions about his past assertions.
