Israel carried out a fresh wave of airstrikes on Iran early Friday, targeting locations in the capital city, Tehran. The Israeli military said its Defense Forces launched large-scale attacks aimed at what it described as infrastructure belonging to the Iranian regime.
Iranian state television later confirmed that several explosions were heard across Tehran. Videos circulating online also showed blasts in parts of the city around 5:30 a.m. local time, with residents reporting that the strikes shook buildings in eastern districts.
Reports also indicated that explosions occurred near the city of Kermanshah in western Iran. The area is believed to host several missile bases, making it a strategic target during the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the United States reportedly supported the operation by deploying B-2 stealth bombers. The aircraft were said to have dropped multiple heavy bombs on underground ballistic missile launch facilities during overnight strikes.
