Trump rules out US ground invasion of Iran, calls It ‘waste of time’

Donald Trump has said the United States is not considering sending ground troops into Iran, describing such a move as unnecessary. The US president stated that launching a ground invasion would be a “waste of time” at this stage of the conflict between the US and Iran.

Trump made the remarks during an interview with an American broadcaster while responding to comments from Iranian officials who claimed their country was prepared for a possible invasion. He argued that US and allied strikes had already significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities.

According to Trump, recent military operations have destroyed several key Iranian assets, including parts of its navy and other strategic infrastructure. He insisted that ongoing air and missile strikes have achieved major results without the need for American soldiers to enter Iran on the ground.

Despite ruling out a ground invasion for now, Trump suggested that the United States would continue its military pressure until Iran’s threats are fully neutralized. He also indicated interest in seeing new leadership emerge in Iran following the escalation of the conflict.

The war between the United States, its ally Israel, and Iran has intensified in recent days, with heavy airstrikes reported in cities including Tehran. The attacks have targeted military bases, missile facilities, and other strategic locations across the country.

Observers say Trump’s comments reflect a strategy focused mainly on air power and strategic strikes rather than a large-scale ground war. Analysts also note that avoiding a ground invasion could help prevent a prolonged conflict similar to previous US wars in the Middle East.
