Tinubu Govt Has Taken More Loans Than All Administrations Combined – Dele Momodu

Former PDP presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has borrowed more than all previous Nigerian governments combined. Momodu made the statement during an interview on Sunrise Daily on Channels Television.

He criticized the APC-led government for failing to balance its budget despite claiming to run a multi-trillion-naira economy. “We have not seen the effects of these loans. There’s a lot going on that Nigerians cannot understand,” he said.

Momodu also accused APC officials of inconsistency, noting that the party often blames past governments, including former President Buhari’s administration, while claiming credit for stability. He described such contradictions as confusing for Nigerians.

Commenting on exchange rate claims, Momodu laughed off government assertions of stabilizing the naira against the dollar, pointing out that no clear benchmarks or results have been shared since they took office.

He further questioned the management of trillions in government budgets, emphasizing that the public has yet to see tangible outcomes or benefits from the loans taken by Tinubu’s government.

Momodu concluded by warning that while the government presents itself as unique in Nigeria’s history, citizens remain skeptical about transparency and accountability in financial management.
