Iran’s armed forces have warned that they would target Israeli embassies around the world if Israel attacks Tehran’s diplomatic mission in Lebanon. The threat was issued by General Abolfazl Shekarchi, a spokesman for Iran’s military, during a televised address amid ongoing hostilities.
Shekarchi said that if Israel were to strike Iran’s embassy in Beirut, Iran would consider all Israeli diplomatic posts globally as “legitimate targets” and could take military action against them.
The warning comes against the backdrop of an intensifying conflict triggered by recent U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iranian territory, which have led to widespread retaliation and regional instability.
Diplomatic tensions are rising as both sides trade threats, raising concerns among global leaders about the safety of diplomatic missions and the risk of the conflict widening beyond the Middle East.
