A US F-15E Strike Eagle crashed in Kuwait during an Iranian missile attack on the Ali Al Salem Air Base. Video shows the jet spiraling down with flames engulfing its engine six miles from the base.
The pilot reportedly ejected safely, while the fate of the weapons system operator remains unknown. It is unclear if the crash was caused by Iranian missiles, friendly fire, or a technical malfunction.
Since Saturday, three US soldiers have been killed and five wounded in ongoing operations. President Donald Trump vowed to avenge the deaths but warned more casualties may occur before the conflict ends.
The conflict expanded as Israel struck Lebanon following Hezbollah’s retaliatory attacks over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, raising concerns of broader regional escalation.
