Messi grabs brace as Inter Miami beat Orlando City 4-2

Lionel Messi scored twice to lead Inter Miami to a 4-2 comeback win over Orlando City at Inter&Co Stadium on Sunday. Miami trailed 2-0 at halftime but surged back with four second-half goals for their first-ever victory at Orlando’s home ground.

Mateo Silvetti opened the comeback in the 49th minute, followed by Messi’s first MLS goal in the 57th minute from a Segovia pass. Telasco Segovia then put Miami ahead in the 85th minute after a Messi assist.

Messi completed his brace with a 90th-minute free kick, curling the ball under the wall past goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau. Orlando had taken an early 2-0 lead through Marco Pašalić and Martín Ojeda but could not maintain it.

The result marked a historic away win for Inter Miami and highlighted Messi’s influence in the MLS, securing a thrilling second-half turnaround for the league champions.
