Nigerian media personality Daddy Freeze has advised married couples above 40 to think carefully before relocating abroad. Speaking on The Honest Bunch Podcast, he said “japa” may not be the best option for older couples at this time. His comments have sparked fresh conversations online.

He explained that relocation should only happen if living conditions in Nigeria become unbearable or if life abroad clearly offers better opportunities. Outside those reasons, he encouraged couples to remain where they are and avoid rushing into major decisions.

Daddy Freeze also warned against moving to countries like the United States and the United Kingdom for now. He pointed to immigration difficulties and changing policies that could make settling abroad harder for families.

According to him, some couples even consider divorce and remarriage arrangements to secure residency papers. He questioned whether such drastic steps are worth the emotional strain, asking how many marriages can truly survive that kind of pressure.
