Bala Mohammed affirms loyalty to PDP after closed-door talks with Tinubu

Bala Mohammed has reaffirmed his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party after meeting with Bola Tinubu in Abuja. He dismissed claims that the visit was linked to a possible defection, saying his focus remains on governance.

The governor explained that the closed-door discussion centred on rising insecurity in Alkaleri Local Government Area. He said bandit attacks around forest areas near the Daji Dam have caused fear and displacement among residents.

Mohammed stated that he presented a detailed security report to the president and sought urgent federal support. According to him, Tinubu responded positively and issued immediate directives to relevant security agencies.

He also called for stronger regional collaboration involving Bauchi, Taraba, Plateau, and Gombe states. The governor reiterated his support for state police, saying it would improve security response and reduce pressure on federal authorities.
