US Congressman Riley Moore has called on former President Donald Trump to act decisively, saying Nigerian Christians face disproportionate attacks by Fulani militias and terrorist groups. He claims Christians are five times more likely to be killed than other groups.
Moore highlighted that attacks often target pastors, priests, schools, and churches, especially on holy days, and have caused tens of thousands of deaths over two decades.
The lawmaker praised Trump’s willingness to defend Christians globally, describing it as a unique opportunity to strengthen US-Nigeria relations and confront insecurity.
He also stressed that the Nigerian government, led by President Bola Tinubu, needs stronger political will and support to effectively address rising violence.
