Olabode George has cautioned the All Progressives Congress and the Independent National Electoral Commission against alleged plans to manipulate the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the inauguration of new PDP executives in Lagos, he warned that Nigerians would resist any attempt to rig the polls.
George accused the ruling party of putting pressure on opposition figures and claimed some PDP leaders were being pushed to defect. He maintained that the party would remain strong despite the challenges.
He also urged INEC to remain neutral and transparent, stressing that the commission has no power to impose leaders on political parties. According to him, opposition groups would challenge any action seen as unfair.
Calling on party members to stay united, George encouraged them to work towards victory in 2027. He expressed confidence that voters are watching closely and expect credible elections.
