NAAT, NASU, others shut UniCross offices over unpaid salaries

Members of NAAT, NASU and other non-academic unions have shut down offices at the University of Cross River State (UniCross) over unpaid salaries. The workers locked administrative buildings to press home their demands.

The unions accused the school management of failing to pay outstanding wages and allowances. They said several appeals and meetings had not produced any positive results.

Union leaders insisted the protest would continue until the salary arrears are cleared. They described the situation as unfair, noting that staff are struggling to meet basic needs.

University authorities are yet to release an official statement on the development. The action has disrupted normal administrative activities on campus.
