Vincenzo Montella has said Victor Osimhen’s fitness could decide the outcome of Galatasaray’s crucial clash with Juventus in the UEFA Champions League. The former AC Milan coach warned that Juve would benefit greatly if the Nigerian striker is not fully fit for the second leg in Turin.
Osimhen missed Galatasaray’s recent league defeat due to knee discomfort, raising doubts about his availability. However, he has since returned to training and could feature if declared fit. His presence was strongly felt in the first leg despite not scoring.
The striker delivered two assists and dominated aerial battles as Galatasaray secured a commanding 5-2 victory at home. Montella described him as the emotional driving force of the team, saying his impact goes beyond just scoring goals.
With a three-goal advantage, the Turkish side are in control heading into the return leg. Still, Osimhen’s availability could be decisive as Juventus look to mount a comeback on their home ground.
