In her memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star firmly stated that her husband is heterosexual. She made it clear that while there is nothing wrong with being gay, the claims about Hamlin are not true.

Rinna suggested the speculation may have started decades ago after Hamlin starred in the 1982 film Making Love, where he played a gay character. She believes some viewers may have confused his on-screen role with his real life. According to her, that performance likely fueled assumptions about his sexuality.

She explained that she was not fully aware of the rumors until she joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2014. Even then, she said she did not give it much attention, noting that several husbands on the show faced similar gossip. Rinna added that Hollywood often labels stylish and attractive men unfairly.
