Australian Prime Minister evacuated from home due to ‘safety threat’

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was evacuated from his official residence, The Lodge in Canberra, on Tuesday due to a reported safety threat.

Emergency responders and Australian Federal Police (AFP) quickly moved the Prime Minister to a secure location while conducting a thorough search of the premises.

AFP confirmed no suspicious items were found and stated there is currently no threat to the public, highlighting increased security measures for politicians amid rising threats.

Former AFP bodyguard David Craig noted the evacuation was a “significant move,” reflecting careful planning and protocols in response to verified threats.
