Yobe State Government has announced a temporary adjustment of public service working hours for the Holy month of Ramadan. From Monday to Thursday, offices will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while on Fridays, hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The directive, issued by Deputy Director of Information, Alhassan Sule Mamudo, applies only during Ramadan, with normal working hours resuming immediately after the fasting period.
This yearly adjustment has become a tradition in Yobe State, aimed at allowing public servants to observe religious activities and participate fully in the holy month.
Governor Mai Mala Buni emphasized that the temporary schedule reflects the state’s commitment to respecting cultural and religious practices while maintaining efficient public service operations.
