The Kaduna State Police Command has reported major successes in intelligence-led operations, dislodging bandit camps and arresting suspected gun runners across Kajuru, Tafa, Igabi, and Kauru LGAs. Several bandits were neutralised during clashes, while others escaped with injuries.
Police recovered an array of illegal weapons, including AK-47 rifles, sub-machine guns, fabricated firearms, and large quantities of drugs. Five notorious gunrunners were also apprehended, highlighting the command’s efforts to curb criminal activities.
In separate operations, suspects were arrested in Igabi, Jos North, and Kasuwan Magani for illegal arms fabrication and distribution. Items seized included fabricated rifles, pistols, magazines, and other paraphernalia linked to criminal networks.
Kaduna Police Commissioner Rabiu Muhammad affirmed ongoing investigations to dismantle syndicates and urged community collaboration. He commended officers, the state government, and the public for their support in maintaining security across the state.
