Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has expressed disappointment over what he described as the defection of the Kano State government structure to the All Progressives Congress. He said the development was troubling and warned that it could alter the political balance in the state.
The former governor stated that the shift was unexpected and claimed it did not reflect the will of many grassroots supporters. According to him, loyalists who worked hard for their mandate feel sidelined by the sudden political alignment.
Kwankwaso added that such political movements often create confusion among voters and party faithful. He urged supporters to remain calm and focused despite what he called a challenging moment for his political camp.
Observers say the situation highlights the continuing rivalry among major parties in Kano. Analysts believe the fallout could shape future alliances and strategies ahead of upcoming elections.
