Prince Andrew pictured leaving police station following arrest on suspicion of misconduct

Prince Andrew was seen leaving a police station after his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Reports say he was detained Thursday morning and later released while investigations continue. Photographs showed him slouching in a car seat, apparently trying to avoid cameras gathered outside.

Authorities say the probe is tied to allegations linked to convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein, including claims Andrew shared sensitive information while serving as a UK trade envoy. Police also searched properties associated with him, including the Royal Lodge residence. Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

His brother, King Charles III, reportedly expressed deep concern about the situation. Royal commentator Christopher Wilson suggested investigators would only take such action if they believed they had strong evidence supporting their case.

Wilson added that the case could become historic, noting no royal has faced arrest in centuries, referencing Charles I as the last monarch detained long ago. He predicted Andrew may ultimately have to defend himself in court as the investigation unfolds.
