Police authorities in Adamawa State have begun a manhunt for Begam Damdam, who is accused of killing his cousin during a violent dispute in Lamurde. The incident reportedly happened Tuesday evening in Tingno District after a disagreement between family members.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspect allegedly stabbed Kawarijo Thomas in the chest, leading to his death. Two others—Thomas Demdem and Robert Yohanna—were also injured during the attack.
Police said they responded to a distress call and moved the victims to General Hospital Numan, where Thomas was confirmed dead while the injured victims received treatment. His body has been deposited for autopsy.
The Adamawa State Police Command said investigations are ongoing and detectives have been directed to track down the suspect. Authorities assured residents that efforts are underway to ensure justice and restore calm in the community.
