The family of Justice Okereke Ezechimere has strongly denied claims of domestic violence and threats made by his wife, popular hair vendor Esther Okereke. Justice was accused of assaulting Esther and attempting to seize her property, allegations the family says are false, asserting instead that Esther has been the aggressor throughout their marriage.

Videos shared by the family reportedly show Esther striking Justice and his cousin, contradicting her claims of being attacked. Sources explain that Justice removed house documents for safekeeping after Esther allegedly demanded he leave the property, which the couple built together. The family maintains that neighbors and other witnesses can confirm the couple’s long-standing disputes and Esther’s aggressive behavior.

Justice was arrested on February 10 and transferred to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja. The family claims he has never physically harmed Esther, even after enduring alleged aggression from her and her relatives. They argue that the public narrative presented by Esther on social media does not reflect the reality of events, and they emphasize that Justice has been acting peacefully despite provocations.
